Happy New Year!

Happy Happy Day Ya'll - Here we are! It's 2022 baby! I hope you are resting up and enjoying your well-deserved time off to rest and reset after the Holidays. And if you don't get time off during the Holidays, I hope you at least take a few minutes to yourself and allow yourself to receive your breath. To initiate your rest and reset, I'm going to make this blog short this month! Let's jump right into... 22 (for 2022!) things you can do to start the year off with Positivity and Gratitude!

  1. Take a moment to think about what you want for your health and well-being this year. Then ask yourself WHY do you want it? Go deep here. Find something that gives you chills and gets you excited and driven!

  2. Remove or distance yourself from the people who are always pulling you down. Ain't nobody got time for that and you are WORTHY of being your best self!

  3. Stay positive. Create a ritual of gratitude. Change your expectations for appreciation. Then be mindful of your thoughts throughout the day. The more you do this... the more happiness you'll experience in life.

  4. Move your body, every. single. day.

  5. Talk to yourself... nicely. Congratulate yourself. Be your own best friend. Out of all the people in the world, the only person by your side through it all is you! So, instead of hearing criticism all day, talk to yourself like you would to your best friend. You need YOU!

  6. Aim for staying hydrated every single day! Your body NEEDS hydration for all bodily functions.

  7. Eat as you love yourself! Food is meant to be enjoyed, yes, but it is more meant for our LIFE! To give us the healing, vital energy to thrive in life! Eat foods that make you feel alive.

  8. Get adequate sleep per night. This is when our bodies lay to rest, digest, process the day before. To wake up fresh every morning, our bodies need to have the time to do its much-needed work or hitting the reset button.

  9. Don't waste your energy on stress, worry, anger, and other negativity. Nothing is worth your mental and physical well-being.

  10. Put the oxygen mask on yourself first. You cannot be of service to anyone if you are not taking care of yourself. Self-care is not selfish. Listen to your body every single day to see what YOU need, not what your family, friends, and to-do list needs.

  11. Change your perspective on your to-do list. INSTEAD of to-do > it's GET TO. You get to work out and move your body. You get to do laundry. You get to eat healthily. You get to... Fill in the blank with things that usually annoy you. Note: some people don't have those same blessings as you.

  12. Read more. Pick up a book every single day. Books that help you grow and learn as a human being. If we are not growing, we are dying.

  13. Take a moment every day to be thankful. Say thank you to your bed, your fresh clean water, your toilet... Thankfulness and stress cannot exist at the same time.

  14. Don't chase success and happiness. Focus on how you can serve and give your unique gifts and both of these will follow.

  15. Boost your immune system for health and vitality!

  16. Enjoy the ebbs and flows of life. Even the bad events in life can be our greatest teachers.

  17. Make the effort to eliminate complaining. Complaining only brings you down and creates a judgment mentality.

  18. Take ownership of yourself and your decisions. No victim mentalities here. We all have choices so make a decision today that you will make decisions that are positive and good for all.

  19. Forgive those who need to be forgiven, even yourself. Forget about the past and be in the present because it's the only time that still exists. By forgiving yourself and others, you are able to ALLOW yourself the freedom to live an amazing life in a beautiful mental/emotional state.

  20. Smile & laugh more. Make a point to smile and laugh every day. Even if you have to fake it at first. Your body won't know the difference and it will create the chemicals that will actually MAKE you happy!

  21. Have trust that the Universe has your back.

  22. Dust your shoulders off and get back up when times get tough. Because it will. Life knows just how to kick our legs out from under us. Lick your wounds and get the hell back up because you are strong, resilient, and worth it baby!

Now go out there and live a life that is magnificent!
