FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
For Your Information
Here are some frequently asked questions that I tend to receive. If you still have something you’d like to know, feel free to contact me for more details and I will do my best to help you get all the information you need.
HOW CAN I START WORKING WITH YOU?
If you would like more information, we offer a one-on-one Discovery Call to determine if we are a good fit to work together. Functional Medicine requires a desire to change by the client and a good rapport between client and Consultant.
To begin working with us, we have two options:
1. Pay by session - Book an initial consultation as a new client
2. Save money by purchasing a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month package
3. Enroll in the Course that's rights for you found under "Autoimmune Courses".
DO YOU OFFER FUNCTIONAL LABS?
Yes! We are a full service provider of Functional Labs in most Countries. We have partnered with lab companies all over the world to bring you the most accurate at home or LabCorp blood labs. In addition, we provide full lab work evaluations using the Functional Medicine lens by looking at your labs as a useful puzzle piece as we look at trends, not just your "high" and "low" values. In Functional Medicine we strive for OPTIMAL health not just average.
HOW MUCH DO FUNCTIONAL LABS COST?
The cost of Functional Labs vary based on your location and the test you are requesting. We order labs straight from the suppliers so they vary depending on the Country you are from and the shipping costs required. We are partnered with suppliers all over the world to ensure the best prices. Most labs are at home tests that can be done with saliva, urine or a blood prick however some labs require a partnership with LabCorp for full serum. Usually only a $10 fee is required to pay LabCorp at the time of your visit.
See our services page for more information on the types of labs we offer.
WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?
To prepare for the initial consultation, fill out the intake form, symptoms checklist and email the last 12 months of previous lab work to amber@feelgoodnourishment.com at least 72 hours in advance to ensure that your labs are given the proper time to be evaluated to make for the most effective use of your time during our call.
WHY DO YOU OFFER 3, 6, & 12 MONTH PACKAGES?
For most of the clients I see, they are struggling with complex health conditions that have been simmering in their bodies for years; sometimes even their entire lifetime. It took a long time for the perfect storm to bring them to the health they experience now and thus it takes time to heal properly and effectively for long term results. Studies show that the ideal length of time to focus on discovering the root of our health habits and establishing maintainable long-term changes is a minimum of 6 months. I offer 3-month, 6-month & 12-month for financial flexibility options. Packages are offered to save you money, to help keep you accountable and to ensure the best success possible for you.
SHOULD I WEAN OFF MY MEDICATIONS FROM MY DOCTOR WHEN I GO FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE?
All medication decisions are up to your doctor. We will never advise on medications; only to work on the foundations that fall in line with true health and wellness. Most clients end up needing to work with their doctors in order to wean off medications because they are no longer needed.
WHAT WAS THE PROTOCOL YOU USED TO HEAL?
We build personalized health plans based on each persons unique needs. Not one protocol is the same. The protocols are and should be different for everyone for each client has different root causes, stressors, diets, toxin exposures, genetic predispositions, traumas, etc. The protocol that was built for my healing journey will not apply to most people.

WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE?
Functional medicine is a holistic, patient-centered approach to healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of diseases rather than solely treating the symptoms. It views the body as an interconnected system, understanding that imbalances in one area can cause issues elsewhere. By examining a person's lifestyle, environment, and genetic factors, functional medicine practitioners aim to promote optimal wellness by restoring balance and functionality to the body's natural systems. It emphasizes a partnership between the patient and practitioner, with an emphasis on preventative care and self-management strategies.
